Susquehanna River Snapback hat
The Susquehanna River cuts its path from upstate New York, through Pennsylvania, and into Maryland. Traversing over 444 miles and emptying in to the Chesapeake Bay. The long, broad river derives its name from the Native Americans who once held dominion over the region. Captain John Smith referred to them as the Susquehannocks in his writings of their meeting in 1608. The river's span once marked the gateway to the western frontier for early Pennsylvania settlers. As one of the oldest rivers in the world it is a natural treasure to be admired for the resources it has abundantly provided, the beauty it brings to our landscape, and the lore it has inspired.
